one of my favorites to spin – shetland wool, blended with some local angora fiber – all natural color, no dye, navajo plied.

hand spinning ramie – a first!

my first experience spinning ramie – far softer than I’d ever expect a bast plant fiber to be! it is naturally dyed with alkanet bark to this perfect pale dusty purple.

the newest puddle duck – i usually knit these, but this time around, it is crocheted. a huge hook and three strands of a vintage french bouclé cotton yarn make and stuff this little duck – in yellows and greens. i have just enough of this awesome yarn left to make four more puddle ducks!
