Fiber’s itch

By trish

I’m itching to spin a few ounces of this tussah silk  noil with colonial wool blended rolag from yesterday’s fiber bonanza with my intern Kelli.

Alas, not happening until I get all the wool carded for the Felting & dyeing workshop with Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning that is on Monday! I’ve got a dozen or so students, so that equates to pounds & pounds of wool carding to make a pair of felt slippers by the end! Going to be a blast, two of my favorite fiber art techniques!

And to top the fiber itch off, I’ve got half a pound of flax waiting for me to get a new distaff (Choffi dog thought mine was a stick) so I can do a neat job of making some linen. And I must wait. Patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue…
